Sergio Preciado brings a wealth of professional experience to his work at Ek, Sunkin & Bai from both the public and private sectors. Sergio is responsible for monitoring the agendas of the 88 cities within Los Angeles County. He also provides community outreach services, drafts memos for clients and attends community meetings and hearings.
In Washington, D.C., Sergio served as a staff assistant to Congressman Tony Cardenas. His duties there included organizing all incoming and outgoing mail, assisting with constituent letters, managing constituent services and running the general operations of the office. As a scheduler for Rep. Cardenas, he was responsible for setting the Congressman’s daily schedule, creating a daily itinerary of the Congressman’s schedule for staff, helping vet meeting request, coordinating press interviews and acting as a liaison between the Congressman and other members of Congress.
He began his career as an intern for Minnesota State Rep. Joe Hoppe, where he assisted with constituent services, attended meetings, and worked on Rep. Hoppe’s re-election campaign.
Sergio graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. He is a resident of San Pedro and enjoys spending time in his community. He is a member of the Wilmington Rotary Club.
