Sarah Walsh is a member of the firm’s government affairs team. She was most recently the director of State Government Affairs for the Motion Picture Association of America, Inc. (MPAA).
Working with contract legislative advocates at the state and local levels, Walsh was responsible for protecting and enhancing the business interests of MPAA member companies on issues affecting the production of motion pictures and television programs, as well as studio facility operations. In addition to managing MPAA’s Los Angeles-area advocacy, she was responsible for reviewing and analyzing legislation in all 50 states in the many subject areas covered by the MPAA State Government Affairs Department.
Prior to joining MPAA, Walsh served as a field representative in the district office of California State Senator Debra Bowen. Prior to joining Sen. Bowen’s office, she was a program assistant with the Council of Chief State School Officers, where she worked with state-level service learning directors from around the country.
Walsh holds a Master of Public Administration from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Syracuse University. She and her family live in the Atwater Village neighborhood of Los Angeles.
